The dazzling trek of Deoriatal winds through the exotic scented woods and a summit that seems almost unreal. The trek goes through the wild gardens of Rhododendron trees, butterflies and flocks of birds. This dense timberland begins at Sari and goes all the way to the Chandrashila summit. Upon reaching the massive lake of Deoriatal, you can envision the reflection of mountains above in its water and admire the sunshine that warms the vegetation at such a high altitude. You will also see the very ancient Tungnath temple, supposed to be dated back to the time of Pandavas. The visible peaks from the Chandrashila summit are Kedar, Chaukhamba and Neelkanth. The glory of this trek can largely be credited to the lush green forests and steep slopes, forming geography unmatched in any other region. Chopta is also a campsite with exquisite panoramic views and peaceful environment.
