The lake of Dodital is drenched with natural beauty and Himalayan wildlife. Starting from Uttarkashi and proceeding to the Darwa top, you will camp at several places and witness the glory of Himalayan charisma. You will also cleanse your body and mind with the clean spring water of Bevra river. See the local villages, the nomadic Gujjar settlement, the distant valleys and the mountains gleaming above. Only the chirping of birds breaks the echo in these distant valleys. Dodital is the birthplace of the rivulet Assi Ganga, a tributary of Bhagirathi. It is also known in the Hindu mythology to be the birthplace of Lord Ganesha. The lake appears in emerald colour and has a temple of Lord Ganesha beside the bank.
