Trek to Kareri Lake

Max Elevation: 3200 Meters

Dharamshala is a small but busy hill station in the state of Himachal Pradesh. A few miles beyond this town, on the slopes of the Dhauladhar range, rests Kareri Lake. The water bodies on these slopes have crystal clear water that reflects the pictures of high mountains as a silver mirror does it. Although many trek routes emerge from Dharamshala, Kareri Lake trek is certainly the greatest and easiest of all. It rests at an altitude of 2934 mt above sea level and opens ways for the Minkiani and Baleni Passes. The route goes through the supreme villages of Ghera and Badaun, displaying the traditional lifestyle in its unpolluted form. The trek is also great for trying out fishing and angling as trout fish is the culinary attraction of the region. You will also see Mcleodganj, the little Tibet, and Bhagsu Nag temple.
