Dhauladhar mountain ranges lie on the western edge of the great Himalayan range. They have a steep rise from the valleys of Kangra and Dharamshala. The Round Trek in Dhauladhar brings you these mountains at an arm’s reach. The Kareri village is beside a small stream that flows from the Kareri Lake. This village is secluded and still preserves the old culture of the region. Other villages that fall on the way offer the trans-hilly views over some of the highest ridges. The trek begins from and ends at Mcleodganj also known as the little Tibet in India. The meadows of Triund are exemplary of the vegetation and mystic fog. The gleaming zigzag lines of snow look their best in the morning sunshine and within a few hours hides behind the veil of fog. The Dhauladhars appear from this trek like a mountain with a God-like personality.
